Barry was born in Ireland but spent most of his life in London. As a retired doctor he leads walking tours of Medical and scientific London. He has an MA in the History of Art from the Courtauld Institute. He has a passion for Art History He specialises in the V&A museum, National Gallery, Tate Modern Tate Britain Wallace Collection Courtauld Institute and British Museum. As well as European art he specialises in Islamic Indian Chinese and Japanese art.
