Montreal Private Tours and Montreal Small Group Tours

Montreal Tours and Experiences Hosted by Local Experts

Montreal, a compelling mix of French-Canadian and Anglo language and culture, is proof that hybrid vigor works.
Montreal, founded as a fur-trapping town in the 17th century, has become the cosmopolitan heart of Quebec over the following 400 years. Its culture has been profoundly shaped by its francophone and anglophone residents, the Quebecois separatist movement, and many immigrant communities from around the world. Its historic streets, culinary specialties, and performing arts festivals, including the Montreal Jazz Festival, speak to the city's colorful past and vibrant present. Discover Montreal's multicultural energy with Context's private and small group guided tours.

Montreal Private Tours and Montreal Small Group Tours

We're obsessed with Montreal. Food, history, architecture.... this is a dizzyingly deep city to sink one's teeth into. For first-time travelers, we heartily recommend our Old Montreal guided tour with a historian, which is a great way to get introduced to Montreal. Want to dive deeper? Then our Quebecois Culture Tour will take you into East Montreal to learn about Quebec nationalism. We also offer a unique look at the immigrant history of the city on our Multicultural Montreal Tour. Among our most popular private tours is our Montreal Food Tour, which visits the Marché Jean Talon.

The 3 hour tour flew by and hit all of the bases just at the right level.
A wonderful experience. Jaqueline was the perfect guide for us. She seemed to know everything about the market and showed it all off with joy and enthusiasm. She also answered all of our many questions about Quebec and its history, polititcs, etc. All in all, a fantastic experience.
Charlotte is a marvellous host for her city. We thoroughly enjoyed her account of early European settlement. It was thoughtful, illuminating and well delivered. I'm now planning on some more historical reading to follow up on the interesting aspects of today's tour. Charlotte is an expert and comes highly recommended.
