Lucia was an excellent guide. She had really deep knowledge of the history of Sicily. She was engaging and very helpful in towards the end of the tour to do some shopping and to find a good restaurant for lunch.

Frequently Asked Questions
We provide a quick, 12-minute private transfer to bridge the 4 km distance between the two sites. This ensures you can transition between the ancient ruins and the historic island of Ortigia comfortably and efficiently. While your guide may occasionally ride with you if they don't have their own vehicle that day, they typically drive separately. This allows them to have their own transport ready at the end of the tour in Ortigia. If they are not in the vehicle with you, your guide will be waiting to greet you immediately upon your arrival in Ortigia to continue your tour.

Don’t just take our word for it
Milena was incredibly knowledgeable and equally able to answer the questions of the adults in our group while also keeping four children completely engaged. She drew connections to what we’d seen earlier throughout the morning and provided lots of context without being at all pedantic. Would highly recommend!
Our Syracuse and Ortigia tour with Milena was a fantastic experience. As a professional archaeologist, she provided an incredibly interesting and deep presentation of the Archaeological Park, making the history of both the Greek Theatre and the Roman Amphitheatre truly come alive. Moving into Ortigia, the spectacular Cathedral was an absolute highlight, and Milena beautifully enriched our walk with fascinating references to local papyrus, traditional marionettes, and the region's rich intangible cultural heritage. Her profound expertise and engaging storytelling made this a magnificent, that we highly recommend!
