Eva M.
Eva is a historian and writer with a passion for museums, art, and urbanism. Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, she moved to the United Kingdom for university and now lives in London with her young family—including two patient kids who get dragged to a lot of museums. She earned her MPhil in Cuneiform Studies and a doctorate in Assyriology at Oxford, exploring the art and texts of the ancient Middle East. Her research now focuses on museums, archaeology, and the reception of the ancient past. She is especially interested in how objects can connect us to distant times and places, while also drawing out contemporary stories about collecting, power, and society. As a guide, she is eager to share her knowledge and expertise, and equally excited to engage with others about their responses and relationships to artefacts and collections that stir their curiosity and provoke emotional responses.
