Maria Lucia is an Italian museum professional and architect based in Amsterdam, NL. She has an MA in Museology and a WO in Architecture. During the years Maria Lucia achieved wonderful job experiences working as architect, photographer, art curator, exhibitions designer, researcher, writer, projects developer and expert museum guide; where she focused her work - among other things - on diversity and public participation issues with the aim of bringing people closer to art, culture and heritage. For instance she worked as art curator & exhibition designer for Beeldend Gesproken in Amsterdam, an art gallery and cultural podium specialized in artists with a psychiatric background; where she created, developed and built several exhibitions and programs. Among her multiple interests (literature, cinema, yoga, photography, traveling, etc.) she is passionate about Vincent van Gogh as “the essence of the artist” and as an endless source of inspiration, and Rembrandt van Rijn as “the master of light and empathy”. Maria Lucia strongly believes in the social mission of art that can deeply reach the community. She strongly believes in people, in their personal development, and that art, heritage and culture are powerful tools to promote this process. Moreover, she loves to explore beyond the boundaries, searching for new perspectives, being attentive to keep her tours always interesting, engaging and stimulating. Her usual dose of passion, sensitivity, kindness and humor - in work and life - is never lacking!
