Yuka Takeuchi
Yuka brings a rare combination of deep local knowledge and genuine warmth to every tour she leads in Osaka. Shaped by years working in hospitality — from shift supervisor at Starbucks to Hibachi chef at Walt Disney World — she has built a career around the Japanese spirit of omotenashi: thoughtful, wholehearted hospitality that anticipates needs before they're even expressed. She is currently part of the team at Expo 2025 Kansai, Osaka, where that same ethos is on show to the world.
As a guide, Yuka is known for going the extra mile. Her tours range from the grandeur of Osaka Castle and the story of the pivotal battle fought there, to the sizzling street food lanes of Dotonbori and the sensory feast of Kuromon Market. She has a talent for uncovering hidden spots that most visitors walk straight past, and for making Osaka's history — particularly the Edo period — feel immediate and alive.
Fluent in English, Yuka communicates with ease across cultures, and her guests consistently remark on her energy, her attention to detail, and the warmth she brings to every encounter.
