Liz is an expert in Roman architecture and its preservation. Our group of 3 (one seasoned visitor to Italy, the other two first-timers) appreciated the depth of information she gave, targeted to our level of knowledge of Roman history and architecture. She was willing to answer ALL our questions, was generous with her information, and flexible to respond to our needs. She took us on serendipitous visits to parts of the Forum area off the beaten trail. When members of our party stopped to help an injured child, Liz volunteered to fetch the medical team. In addition, one of our members had limited mobility, and Liz was solicitous about her ease and comfort during the trip. Altogether, a stunning morning in Rome with a delightfully informed guide. Our Rome Food Tour with Gina is a day we’ll never forget. She told us about Rome’s history through its food, and it felt more like exploring the city with a knowledgeable friend than being on a typical tour. A Context food tour is always a highlight for our boys, who are 8 and 11. We visited a local cheese shop and met some of the regulars, including the spoiled dogs who patiently wait for a piece of cheese. Gina made sure to tailor the tour to our interests and showed her expertise throughout. I highly recommend this tour. Just thinking about it makes me hungry again! We finished the day with gelato at one of the city’s best spots, which was the perfect ending to an unforgettable experience.
Our tour of the Colosseum with Antonella was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome.
