I think Michael did a fantastic job: plenty of info but not too much and never felt rushed. Very personable, and eager to share. I'll be asking for recipes, and certainly looking for these dishes when in Sicily next spring!
I was very impressed with this presentation. Chef Sampson was very well prepared and gave a superb presentation. I've taught Italian cooking and have done culinary tours to Sicily and couldn't have enjoyed this more. Don't hesitate to do this webinar. I will be looking him up on my return visit to Palermo.
I LOVED this! The thing I appreciate most about Chef Michael Sampson is his striving for authenticity in his culinary practice. The brief historical overview of Sicily's many varied cultural influences is a great way to start this class. His tantalizing pictures of the food are beautiful, clear and informative of culinary technique. He also provides fascinating context on how Sicilian food preparation can change from region to region. One comes away with a richer understanding of how complex the island's culinary heritage is and why Sicily's iconic dishes are appreciated the world over. Bravo! More, please.
