The center of Ancient and Modern Greece, and the birthplace of Western culture as we know it, Athens has been built on layers of history, piled—literally—on top of each other.
With nearly 3000 years of continuous history, Athens is a marvel. Whether it's an archeological study of ancient Greek artifacts at the Acropolis, an in-depth look at the days of Socrates, or a view into contemporary Greek cuisine and politics, there’s no better place to learn than the complex maze that is the Greek capital. Discover with Context the spirit of ancient Greece on an Athens private tour or an Athens small group tour.

This tour was wonderful and the highlight was going to Mycenae. However, we arrived there past when the museum was open. This appeared to be a surprise to the guide. We would have definitely forgone a seated lunch to have made the museum tour. For the amount this tour cost us, it was greatly disappointing to find out that we could not visit the actual ruins or the related museum. Still, the driver and guide were wonderful people and the scenery amazing. We hope kinks like this can be ironed out for the next group to take this tour. Overall, we think the cost of the tours on the pricier side of things compared to our tours that we have previously organized for ourselves. We were quite taken aback that there was no family rate.
Panos was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond during our tour today. Both our children adored him and we were unbelievably impressed with him.
Smaro was the most knowledgeable & professional travel guide we have ever had. She took extra efforts to help my wife who had minor mobility issues. She was best guide with her intimate knowledge of the Acropolis.
