We LOVED our tour with Lucia - not only was she so wonderfully prepared and informed, she was fun to be around. Lucia also has the ability to lean into the needs and interests of the people she's guiding. She set the perfect pace: we rode our bikes the perfect speed for all to keep up, she knew the path so well, she timed stops for stories, descriptions, and discussion, and she adapted to a very diverse group (from two who'd never been in Europe to one who grew up in West Berlin). Jason knows Berlin and its history as well as any college professor, maybe better. He is a wonderful ambassador, host, and tour guide, putting his all into the job. Raised in the US, has lived in Europe for decades, mostly in Germany. As such, he has a unique perspective on German history and culture. We were a small group and peppered him with questions for hours; the breadth of his knowledge is impressive. He has detailed information on German art, architecture, food, culture, life in Berlin during WWII, post-war life in both East and West Berlin and more. Equally important, he is pleasant to be around, helpful, and generous with his time. It’s wonderful to spend the day with someone who enjoys his job and the people he meets.
