While our guide was pleasant enough, we didn't get what we paid for. The MALBA and street art tour of Buenos Aires was supposed to include a comprehensive tour of MALBA and a taxi ride to see street art in a different area (Coghlan). That didn't happen.
As soon as we met our guide, he told us that the temporary exhibits at MALBA were closed so our MALBA tour would be shorter than usual, AND that he couldn't take us to see ANY street art due to a labor strike. (We later found out that many street art locations were unaffected by the strike). So we just slowly walked us through the permanent exhibit at MALBA, mostly repeating the signage that the museum provided. Very little added value there. Then our guide suggested we stop for a beverage at MALBA, and asked us to pay for ourselves - even though we weren't taking the taxi and street art components of the prepaid tour. After MALBA, he took us on a walk to the library, pointing out some architecture that we had seen previously; this is not what we signed up for.
All in all a disappointing, overpriced tour. In the circumstances, Context Travel should have offered us a chance to cancel the tour since the guide knew he wouldn't be able to do what was promised.
