Frequently Asked Questions

My children are in their early to mid-teens. Is this walk appropriate for them?
Our family tours are primarily designed for children under the age of 13, and this one, in particular, is ideal for young kids. For teens, we would recommend our private Introduction To Florence: With Accademia And Michelangelo's David tour as the content can be adapted to an age-appropriate level.

Will this tour be engaging for parents as well?
Parents are encouraged to ask questions and explore along with their children. Our guides are happy to make this experience valuable for adults as well, but keep in mind that the overall focus will be geared toward children.

Do we go inside the Duomo or just see it from the outside?
All venues are seen from the exterior only on this tour.

Will there be a place to stop for a restroom if needed?
There will be time for a bathroom stop, as well as several places to rest for a quick break as you explore.

Accessibility

We understand that some of our valued guests may have mobility concerns, and we want to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience throughout your tour. If there are any accessibility concerns that your tour guide will need to be aware of, please let our team know at the time of booking.

Is this tour wheelchair-friendly?
Florence can present some objective difficulties for visitors with reduced mobility. In the oldest part of the city, the sidewalks are narrow and the surfaces of both streets and sidewalks can be uneven.

Please contact us to further discuss booking this tour if a member of your party has mobility concerns.

Monica did very well dealing with 3 young girls (8,6, and 3) who were dealing with jet lag and general kid issues. They rotated on being engaged, but Monica never lost patience and tried to direct their attention in engaging ways, giving interesting facts to help them focus on what they were seeing, At the end of the tour, grandpa indicated he learned a lot, so it's not just for kids! Also, latter in the day the 8 and 6 year old started pointing out to us the Medici shield whenever they saw it on a building and also calling out the fluer symbol of Florence, so they were paying attention, even when we had our doubts. The drawing notebook was a nice addition, and we personally have gone on to experience some of her restaurant and museum recommendations. We are happy with the tour and would do it again under the same (not ideal) circumstances.

Elizabeth Ann was incredible. Our 6 and 3 year old were a little non-focused and she did an incredible job of rolling with their attention spans and then capturing them with stories and activities. Do this tour if you’re a parent and want to get legitimate insights into Florence while having someone who can make it wonderful for children as well. Thanks!

Agata Anna was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable and catered her tour well for our family which spans several age ranges. Everyone enjoyed from young kids to adults.
