Elizabeth Ann was very good with our 7 and 10 year olds. She explained things well and did a lot to keep them into it as much as possible. She also did a good job simultaneously giving a tour for the six adults.

Uffizi Gallery Tour for Kids
Help kids connect with Renaissance art through stories and games
We’ll begin our time together with a short introduction in Piazza della Signoria, discussing the Uffizi's structure and its relation to Palazzo Vecchio, Florence's town hall, as well as the importance of the Medici family. After spending some time outside, we will continue to the museum, where we will spend roughly two hours exploring the collection. Looking for the grown-up version of this tour? Try our Uffizi Tour.
The guide will begin an engrossing dialogue with your children about the art, focusing on recurring subjects, themes and symbols, the historical background in which these works were created, and biographical information about the artists, while creating an atmosphere of exploration and participation. By the end of the walk, your children will have a very clear idea of how and why art is created and will be able to better appreciate the artwork they will encounter throughout their trip.

FAQ
Can we include the Vasari Corridor (Corridoio Vasariano) in this tour?
No, unfortunately, we cannot include the Vasari Corridor in this tour due to the logistics of the itinerary. While the corridor is a remarkable site, its difficulty in securing tickets and its tight timing make it incompatible with the structure of this tour.
Accessibility
Accessibility Notice: Starting December 2024: The elevators to the second floor are currently out of service due to renovations. Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated timeline for their return to service. Please note that our gallery begins on the second floor. Visitors will need to use the stairs unless prior arrangements are made. For guests with disabilities who cannot use the stairs, an alternative route is available. However, this path adds approximately 1 kilometer to the tour, requiring the use of an elevator at the museum's exit and additional walking time back to the entrance. This may extend the overall tour time. We are happy to accommodate this option, but it is crucial to let us know when you book so we can inform your guide and ensure everything is prepared in advance. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Don’t just take our word for it
I had a wonderful tour of the Uffizi Gallery with Elizabeth Ann! She was incredibly **approachable** and showed **commendable knowledge** of the artwork and the historical context behind each piece. Beyond the museum itself, she provided a **really great historical background on the city of Florence**, which gave me a much deeper appreciation for the city and its heritage. A fantastic and highly informative tour!
We had a great tour of the Uffizi with Federica. The adults learned a lot, and Federica also did a great job engaging with kids between 5-16, including indulging a few in a long discussion about Medusa!
