We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Matteo. As a longtime Venice resident, he steered us to some fascinating sites away from the busiest areas. A walking encyclopedia of architecture AND archaeology, we spent a bit of time studying an excavation in the middle of Piazza San Marco—we'd walked right past it before our tour, not knowing what a special thing was going on right in front of us.

Leo James was yet another experienced, very knowledgeable, and communicative tour guide. The whole experience of the top class boat and driver, and being able to see areas of Venice from the lagoons and canals was fascinating. Leo's passion for Venice's ecosystem shone through in a very positive and commendable manner. Highly recommended.
