Barbara grew up in Eton with Windsor Castle as part of her daily view.
She is the acknowledged expert on Royalty and Windsor Castle among Blue Badge Guides and has acted as the liaison between tourist guides and Windsor Castle for over 30 years.
She is the only tourist guide to have been invited to the blessing of the marriage of King Charles 3rd and Queen Camilla in 2005 and to the weddings of Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie in 2018.
Her visitors to Windsor Castle are assured of a special welcome.
She has run 11 training courses on Windsor Castle and the surrounding area and she leads the elite team who guide tours of Eton College, the world’s most famous Public School.
Barbara has an Honours Degree in History, a Diploma in Education and the Royal Horticultural Society’s Certificate in Horticulture. She taught history for 15 years and she lectures on Royalty and the Royal Collection of Art for the Arts Society.
In addition to Windsor Castle she specialises in guiding the British Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the National Gallery and Kew Gardens.
