Caterina, a lecturer in archaeology, has worked on many archaeological sites in Rome, Turkey and UK. A graduate of University College London, she is currently working on a PhD looking at the history of tourism and pilgrimage in historical sacred places. She obtained a diploma at the Vatican school Library in 2013, where she studied cataloging of modern and ancient books and digital libraries. She has also been working in the archaeological site beneath the St. Peter’s Basilica since 1999 and has worked as a Vatican guide since 2008. She has published articles about the archaeology and history in the online Enciclopedia Microasiatica Graeca (www.ehw.gr) and on the magazine Forma Urbis.
