Michael Eustace had a cosmopolitan upbringing with rather footloose, cerebral parents who travelled incessantly, or so it seemed. It awakened an early interest in history and transitions : social, cultural, artistic both in time and in geography. This lead him to the École du Louvre where he completed studies in art history (with a focus on mediaeval metalwork) and museology, then to the Sorbonne where he completed a master's degree (more mediaeval metalwork, mixed in with architecture and religious symbolism). After a stint at the Louvre, he worked for several years at the French National Renaissance Museum in Ecouen before striking out in rather different, unrelated directions, but always with a focus on people, tourism and sharing his love of France, her history and her culture.
He is a licenced tour guide in English, French and Portuguese.
