Bordeaux Tours and Experiences Hosted by Local Experts

Home to the largest and oldest vineyards in the world, Bordeaux is a treasure for foodies, wine lovers, and history buffs alike.
Bordeaux has been a cultural melting pot since it was first settled more than 2000 years ago. Since that time, the territory has belonged to a myriad of people and cultures: the Celts, the Romans, the English, and the French have all called this region home, creating a vibrant culture that embraces aspects of all of these groups. An old European city with an exceptional wealth of historical and architectural heritage, Bordeaux is the essence of elegance and one of the most beautiful cities in France. As the capital of the country's wine-making Aquitaine region, the city is the gateway to five different wine trails leading to world-class vintages and mythical châteaux.

Jennifer is a knowledgeable, gifted and experienced guide in Bordeaux. Her walk with us through the city is one of the highlights of two-week trip to various wine regions and their culture. Leading us from one quarter of the city to another, pointing out characteristics, architecture and special vistas while teaching us the history of Bordeaux made for a wonderful day. Jennifer quickly got our vibe as visitors and tailored our tour to those interests, keeping the conversation lively and engaged. We highly recommend this tour and Jennifer, and would book with her again on a return trip to Bordeaux.
Elodie is a gifted and gracious guide. Her expertise in wine and in the history and wine culture of Bordeaux is exceptional. Our day with her in the St. Emilion and Pomerol regions opened us up to the cultural riches of that part of France, not to mention a wonderful day of conversation and learning. We highly recommend this tour and Elodie, along with the wineries we visited. A not-to-be-missed experience.
