Catherine had a great knowledge of the history and traditions of the Irish people, in general. Each “tasting” experience was well thought out and each item was explained fully. Catherine was very friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. The 4 of us enjoyed her very much.
We enjoyed our time with Kevin. We appreciated how he tied Dublin food to periods of Irish history and yes, the food was delicious!
Kevin McKenna is an excellent guide! I had an awesome tour - it was well organized, complete and very tasty. Kevin is well informed about food and history and a great story teller as well as a good listener. We had a great exchange of how food in Dublin has translated to food in America (my family emigrated from No. Ireland and Scotland in the 1700s but we still eat the Irish way!). The 2.5 hours went by quickly but I felt I did a lot and really sampled some awesome food. Kevin went out of his way to point out where I could buy treats to take home (Clement and Pekoe tea shop, for example). My tour ended with a Guiness and Guiness Irish Beef Casserole in a very authentic pub and it was delicious! I would have never found these shops and restaurants on my own. Thank you Context Travel - so glad I went out of my comfort zone of "just museum trekking"! Thanks, Kevin - you're awesome! Kim, Atlanta
