This Tokyo night food tour will take you to several restaurants and izakayas around the neon-drenched neighborhood of Shibuya. Izakayas are vibrant social hubs that come to life after the working day ends and can only be experienced in the evening.

Make your way through the neon-illuminated streets of Dogenzaka before enjoying a sit-down meal with your local guide, where you’ll gain an even deeper understanding of Japanese food culture. Time permitting, venture to Nonbei Yokocho, also known as Drunkard’s Alley, for a craft beer and that yakitori you smelled earlier. Perhaps you’ll even have a chance to hop into a purikura, or Japanese photo booth, to capture memories of an incredible evening in Shibuya.

What you'll taste

Begin with lighter fare, such as tempura or hanpen fish cakes, paired with shochu, local beer, or a hoppy (a beer-flavored, low-ABV drink).

Is this tour wheelchair-friendly?

This tour is not walking intensive, but there are bars and eateries located along narrow streets which can be difficult for wheelchair users to navigate. Not all bars and restaurants have an accessible entrance. Please notify us of any accessibility issues so we can adapt tour stops accordingly.

Excellent tour ! Our guide was knowledgable, kind and articulate. The sampling of food was also excellent. The only suggestion I would give future clients is "Come Hungry !!" - so much good food and drink.
