Japan Private and Small Group Walking Tours

Wonderful tour. John was so friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to some great spots that we wouldn’t have found on our own. We especially loved the tiny bar to close out the night (very local/traditional). This tour was definitely a highlight of our trip so far.

We had an excellent half-day tour of Arashiyama with Marcin. He is extremely knowledgeable, and it was fascinating to learn so much throughout the day. As a university professor teaching Japanese studies, his depth of understanding really came through in every stop and story he shared. We covered a lot of ground and saw many important sites, and the way he structured the tour, starting at the top of the mountain and working our way down, made the experience both enjoyable and manageable. He pointed out countless details and shared stories we never would have discovered on our own. Highly recommend.

Incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient, Anna is all you could even want in a guide. While we may have only scratched the surface of Omotesando and Meiji-jingu, the experience of exploring these places was made so much richer thanks to Anne’s expertise.
