Tour Description
Since its inception in 1895, Venice's Biennale international art fair has earned its place as one of the world's most important cultural events, often setting the tone for contemporary art across the globe. With over 300,000 visitors, 76 invited artists, and over 90 national pavilions, this bi-annual Biennale positions Venice as a must-see destination for any contemporary art enthusiast.
For the 2026 edition, the Biennale takes a more intimate approach with its theme, In Minor Keys, conceived by the late curator Koyo Kouoh. Inspired by her vision, the Biennale unfolds like a jazz composition, with "minor frequencies" that evoke improvisation, solitude, and emotional depth. The artists invite you into a reflective, sensory conversation, deeply rooted in collective imagination, ancestral memory, and shared futures.
Whether you come with curiosity, skepticism, or a desire to reconnect with the world in a deeper way, this Biennale tour opens a path to understanding how art resonates across cultures, histories, and human experiences.

Very qualified docent. Gave us a good tour and set us up for a wonderful visit to the other Biennale site the next day as well.

We would have been totally overwhelmed by the Biennale had we not taken the tour with Nadia. She was a great resource for us to show us the stand out parts of the exhibits. It is such a huge exposition, I am not sure how anyone can get through it in a single visit and hit the high points. Nadia was very helpful in telling us about the artists of note and curation of the exhibition. She also had some great history of the Arsenale facility.
