We had Elena as our guide for the second time on a Context Tour and she was just as excellent as the first time. Informative while still entertaining we learned about the interaction of the Jewish community with the rest of Venice right up until the present day. The tour of the ghetto obviously involves some very dark history during the WWII period but doesn't dwell on that period-Elena shared some inspirational stories of Jewish leaders during that time which showed their amazing courage. The tour of the synagogues was excellent, Elena placing them and their development in context-the interiors are beautiful. We have done a number of Context Tours in Venice and this is up their with our favourite ones-thank you Elena !

Sara was such an incredible guide for our first time touring Venice! We had our two young children with us and she made sure to include them the entire time in her wonderful storytelling about the history and sightseeing of Venice. Our kids stayed entertained the entire tour! The scavenger hunt for lions was so fun as well. Thank you Sara for giving us a tour filled with so much knowledge and interesting fun facts about Venice. I would highly recommend having Sara show you and your family around this beautiful city.
Elana was very knowledgeable and was able to give us the history of the Jewish ghetto in Venice. I would highly recommend her as a guide.
Venice Tours
Best for First-Time Visitors
These tours help explain how Venice developed from a fragile lagoon settlement into a global trading power. Walking through areas like St. Mark’s Square, the Rialto, and quieter residential districts gives you a stronger sense of how the city functioned beyond its postcard image.
Best for Art, Architecture & Venice’s Golden Age
With an art historian or architectural expert, mosaics, palaces, and paintings become part of a larger story about power, religion, and Venetian identity.
Best for Food, Markets & Everyday Venice
Markets, bàcari wine bars, and neighborhood food traditions reveal a side of Venice that feels lived-in rather than performative. Meals become a way to understand trade, migration, and local rhythms of life.
Best for Islands & Day Trips
These experiences connect Venice to traditions of glassmaking, fishing, craftsmanship, and island life that shaped the wider republic.
