Greta Suveges
Greta views Budapest through the lens of an urban anthropologist. With MA studies spanning Jerusalem and Budapest, her expertise isn't just local—it’s informed by years of living and studying in Berlin, Saint Petersburg, and Stockholm. She specializes in the complex "memory politics" of Budapest. Rather than a standard sightseeing tour, Greta connects the dots between politics, ideology, and the physical city.
Her work focuses on the Jewish narrative, mapping the evolution of Jewish life and art from the grandeur of Budapest’s synagogues to its modern cultural institutions. Greta is keen to discover and present a sensitive record of memory politics in the country, exploring how it transforms urban space and narrates the past.
Today, Greta balances her work as an independent cultural project manager with private guiding. Whether she’s discussing urban history or her personal interests in art therapy and cinema, she offers a deep, documented look at the city she calls home.
