No, this tour is designed as an orientation and does not include entrance to the Acropolis. It pairs well with an Acropolis visit in the afternoon or on another day. If your time is limited and you’d prefer to do everything in one go, we recommend booking the Acropolis tour instead. You can leave a note at checkout requesting that the visit to the Acropolis Museum be replaced with extra time exploring Plaka and Monastiraki.

The Change of the Guard takes place at Syntagma Square in front of the Hellenic Parliament at the top of every hour. Your guide can certainly accommodate your interest. Please note that we may need to slightly adjust the start time of your tour to ensure you arrive in time to see it.

She did a great job explaining how the ancient history and more modern history have led to where we are today. We did this tour on the first day of our trip, and I would highly recommend others do the same. It was great to get oriented in the city and she gave us a frame of reference for the other activities that we will do over the course of our trip.
