She gave us a whole new way to look at tango, as the culture of Buenos Aires. We had a slight taxi problem, and were a bit late meeting our guide, but the coordination between your office in Philadelphia and our guide was outstanding.
We enjoyed the tour and were happy with Ana. However, we thought it was a little repetitious with the history discussions and we did just cover a very small area. We had expected to see more Tango dancing and music, but maybe that was our expectation that was unrealistic. We did see the museum where the immigrants lived and the architecture of the area which we found interesting. We went to Café Tortoni which I hadn’t done on the previous tour so I was glad she included that and we were supposed to go to a shoe store where Ana was going to explain the shoes for the Tango. I would have loved that, but it was very hot, it was getting late and we were leaving Buenos Aires late afternoon and Marvin really wanted to get back to the hotel. So I think Ana is fine but the tour was a little long in La Boca, unless there could have been more Tango included. It was very nice that she is a Tango teacher and it did lend some authenticity to the tour.
Ana was charming and informative. If I were to add anything it would be an opportunity to sit down and watch some live dancing/ music. Or perhaps get to try a few dance steps. She IS a Tango teacher, after all.
