Jewish Paris Tour
"[Our guide] was just wonderful. She was very knowledgeable about the specific focus of the tour and her background in art allowed her to field the considerable number of questions we had about dealing with confiscated art from the Jews of Paris/France after the war. Highest recommendations."

The daughter of a sculptor, Marie has been surrounded by art ever since she was born. A native Parisienne, she holds an undergraduate degree in history and art history, with a specialty in iconography and French and Flemish paintings from the 16th to the 18th centuries. She also holds a Master's degree in museology from the Ecole du Louvre and one in Art History from the Sorbonne. She currently works for the French National Art History Institute on special cultural events. Since she loves literature, ballet, theatre, opera, jazz clubs, and classical concerts—she has been playing the piano since she was 9—Paris and its artistic life are a perfect fit.

Gabrielle was born in Paris and lived in the UK for 12 years before coming back to her native city in 2016. Gabrielle loves walking through the streets of Paris and is always on the lookout for undiscovered spots and details, for many old and hidden stories are lurking beneath the smooth Hausmannian façades of the city of lights ... An enthusiastic and cheerful communicator, Gabrielle is thrilled to be part of the Context team!

After obtaining a double degree in History and History of Art at the Sorbonne, Cécile directed her Master's degree research towards the history of the French Revolution, which naturally led her to integrate the Carnavalet Museum in her final-stage internship.
