Diogo was born in Portugal, raised in Mozambique and his academic journey led him to Japan. He studied Biochemistry (BsC), Bioengineering (MsC) and is currently a PhD student at The University of Osaka. Due to his Japanese proficiency he was able to experience a different side of Japan that most people dont have access to. Over the last 4 years Diogo immersed himself in Japanese culture, religion (Shinto, Buddhism), tea ceremonies (with Geisha and maiko) as well as amazing food!
