Jared loves helping people understand New York City as a living story—its history, architecture, neighborhoods, treasures, and personalities. New York City has been Jared’s home for over four decades, and he is a professionally licensed NYC tour guide since 2005.

As a multi-generation New Yorker, Jared grew up with NYC stories. At Columbia University, Jared studied with influential historians, writers, and urban scholars as an undergraduate and graduate student.

Jared has worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and in affordable housing, community organizing, and civic engagement across New York City.
