Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour we just completed with Kasia. She was so knowledgeable on this subject and easily able to convey a large amount of factual information about the topic. We came into this tour with very little knowledge of what to expect, other than going below the street. Her enthusiasm for these two ages was evident right on the street before we even entered the first church. On the way down below ground, she was able to compare and contrast the Empire and Middle Ages with “concrete” evidence on display. From the current street level, she laid out what to expect and oriented us to where we’d be once below. It was easy to get disoriented as we explored the rooms and corridors underground. A very fascinating way to organize the trip I thought the Vatican properties would be the highlight of our tours, but this underground, along with Kasia’s guidance, made this tour my favorite so far.

I wish I could leave more than 5 stars! I have traveled extensively, used many tour companies, but never Context Travel. This was by far the best experience that I’ve ever had. Antonella our guide has a PhD in archeology and gave brilliant insights on the history of Rome which made the whole experience so much more interesting and enjoyable. I have a slight challenge with steep climbs and she took extra effort to make sure that I had no issues as we traversed the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Forum.
