We meet opposite the Acropolis museum, and we usually end in the Monastiraki neighborhood. Your confirmation email will have the exact meeting point details along with a map.
We begin early to avoid the more crowded times and hot weather at the Acropolis. For this reason, we advise an early start time.
Please note that we require the age of each participant in order to purchase tickets. This is especially important for families with participants who are 17 or 18 years old, as free tickets are only valid for those who are 17 or younger on the day of the tour. Once a participant turns 18, a full-price ticket is required. To avoid any issues at the entrance, please double-check the ages provided before booking.
Wheelchair accessibility
- The Acropolis and the Ancient Greek Agora are wheelchair-friendly.
- However, private transportation would be imperative for a tour like this, since it will be extremely difficult for a wheelchair user to get around in the city.
- Please contact us to discuss in more detail your mobility concerns so that we can best advise and arrange a private transfer.

Just wanted to express what an amazing tour we had with Lena! For starters, the couple we were traveling with accidentally over slept for our acropolis tour (ticket has required entry times). We kept in contact with them and Lena met them at the entrance with their tickets to insure they got in. Her wealth of knowledge was exceptional at every step! Our final part of the tour was to visit the Agora, but due to extreme heat it was closed before we arrived. Lena improvised and walked us through some beautiful neighborhoods and we finished with an authentic Greek lunch. Could not say enough great things about our Athens in a Day tour and Lena!
