Maria was spectacular. As a professor of Theatre history, I appreciated her depth of knowledge in Greek history and archaeology, particularly with regard to the Theatre of Dionysus. Her knowledge of archeological methods and cultural history made for one of the best tour experiences I’ve ever had. Our family had a wonderful time with her. Thanks, Maria!

We had a fantastic tour of the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. Our tour guide was Stella. Stella is so knowledgeable and shared so much history with us. Stella was in communication with us the day prior to our tour, confirming our meeting area and time. She was at our meeting area when we arrived. We enjoyed a beautiful walk up to the Acropolis. We stopped along the way to discuss anything that interested us. Stella had our tickets all ready to go and she worked her way into the line seamlessly. It is of course very crowded even when you go early but we were able to work our way up to the top, again stopping for photos and mini history lessons along the way. After seeing everything at the acropolis, we worked our way down and went into the acropolis museum. This is a must see. Stella once again shared history and the architectural details of the museum. It is truly impressive and not to miss. I would recommend Context tours and ask for Stella if you do. Having a private tour is the way to go!

We met Anastasia after arriving via cruise ship and really enjoyed the tour! Anastasia was friendly and personable but also matter of fact about the history and preservation of the Acropolis. Her explanation of the museum and how the top floor was laid out to accommodate the missing pieces (and the need to have them returned) was very memorable to us. Her passion showed through every aspect of the tour.
