We were surprised how much there was to see and learn on this tour - it’s really jam-packed! Three hours barely felt like enough time.

We enjoyed seeing the Renaissance occupations decorating the exterior panels of the tower and considering how the Da=edalus-Icarus story came to be incorporated in the Christian imagery. The originals were inside the museum, which was somehow a let-down, as was the 19th century façade. Our guide was knowledgable about Ghiberti and the chronology of the doors. I might have chosen a less iconic building for a less crowded area. Climbing the steps (not part of the tour) was great.
