Joined by an expert in Mount Etna’s volcanic history, we will start from your accommodation (in Catania or Taormina) before setting off for this spectacular mountain. On the way to Mount Etna, we'll pass through ancient villages as your guide explains how locals live in the company of a capricious Mount Etna. We will quickly familiarize ourselves with the most characteristic features of Mount Etna; its fauna, flora, perfumes, colors, and the deep changes the volcano continuously influences on the surrounding landscape. Hopping back into your 4X4, along with your expert guide and driver, you will climb along an ancient lava flow before finally reaching one of the most breathtaking scenes that Mount Etna offers. If taking the afternoon tour, you will have time to absorb the sunset over this magnificent and ancient landscape.

We meet at your accommodation in the area of Catania or Taormina. Your route may differ according to your guide. Your confirmation email will have the exact meeting point details along with a map.

What if it’s raining?

If the weather forecast is such that the hike can't take place in reasonable conditions, we will try to reschedule it.

Can children join this tour?

Can we bring outside food on the excursion?
