The tour was excellent, enough history, explanation, and guidance without being too overwhelming. I cannot imagine trying to tour without Susanna, while you could admire the art, the stories she included made the art and history come alive. Kindest regards!

Uffizi and Accademia Highlights Tour
Maximize two museums through Florence’s defining masterpieces
- Look with an art historian eye Build a sharper eye for beauty, technique, and meaning across Renaissance rooms.
- History beyond the label Bring your questions to an Expert who can surprise you with what guidebooks often miss.
- Find common threads Move through the artworks with purpose, so the museums feel legible and connected, not overwhelming.
- Medici influence in art Understand how patronage, politics, and ambition shaped what Renaissance artists made, and why.
- See David in context Learn how Michelangelo’s mastery made David both sculpture and civic symbol.

Take Botticelli’s “Primavera”: at first, it seems like a graceful garden scene. Look longer, and you’ll notice hidden messages in symbols, where flowers suggest transformation, a raised hand hints at protection, and Venus stands for harmony and power, not just beauty. Your Expert helps you tap into these details, showing how Renaissance artists layered love, politics, and philosophy into a single image.
Accessibility Notice: Starting December 2024: The elevators to the second floor are currently out of service due to renovations. Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated timeline for their return to service. Please note that our gallery begins on the second floor. Visitors will need to use the stairs unless prior arrangements are made. For guests with disabilities who cannot use the stairs, an alternative route is available. However, this path adds approximately 1 kilometer to the tour, requiring the use of an elevator at the museum's exit and additional walking time back to the entrance. This may extend the overall tour time. We are happy to accommodate this option, but it is crucial to let us know when you book so we can inform your guide and ensure everything is prepared in advance. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Don’t just take our word for it
Helen was absolutely fabulous! It was a delight to spend the morning with her- she was so knowledgeable we had an amazing time-
Wow, wow, wow!!! Susanna’s knowledge of art history and her patience with us “novices” was 100%. She really helped us understand the history, and meanings of the treasures of Florence. My wife and I were both in tears, feeling the full gravity of learning of the great masters and their expressions of story and art. This is a tour we will never forget.
