Normandy Tours and Experiences Hosted by Local Experts

One of France’s most rugged yet moving destinations, where the sweeping coastlines and rolling lush hills tell the story of historic invasions.
From the 1066 Norman invasion of William the Conqueror to the D-Day Landings of 1944, Normandy has unwittingly landed a role on the European wartime stage. Set on the French coastline, its beauty abounds with bucolic farms, wild beaches, and a medieval abbey. The historical narrative of the area is somber, yet it's that history that makes for an intriguing visit. Join Context Travel on one of our Normandy private tours.

Jonathan provided my family with an exceptional private tour of the D-Day Normandy Beaches. He was professional, polite and extremely well informed on the subject, including providing ongoing photos and maps of the invasion on a large screen iPad to illustrate his informational points. His knowledge of history and simply the logistics of navigating the vast area of the Normandy beaches made for an extraordinarily informative day that we could not have undertaken by ourselves. Jonathan has my highest recommendation.
Excellent overview of D-Day with great local and hiknowledge.
Incredible. Our 12 year old learned so much — he will never forget it.
