Normandy Private and Small Group Walking Tours

( 6 )
One of France’s most rugged yet moving destinations, where the sweeping coastlines and rolling lush hills tell the story of historic invasions.
From the 1066 Norman invasion of William the Conqueror to the D-Day Landings of 1944, Normandy has unwittingly landed a role on the European wartime stage. Set on the French coastline, its beauty abounds with bucolic farms, wild beaches, and a medieval abbey. The historical narrative of the area is somber, yet it's that history that makes for an intriguing visit. Join Context Travel on one of our Normandy private tours.

My family (my two parents and two children) and I are just returning from our holiday in France, and this tour was a major highlight of our entire trip. The tour was outstanding, but our tour guide, Jonathan, was even more exquisite. He was the most knowledgeable guide I have ever toured with in the world, and the kindest and most thoughtful I have ever met. My father is blind and noted that it was his most informative and thorough tour as well. He also commented, and we all agreed, on how caring Jonathan was. I thank him dearly for that. This fantastic 8-hour day felt like it went by too quickly. As he took us through Normandy, he explained everything in extensive detail. He spent valuable time and let us wonder when we wanted to. This experience will stay in my mind and heart forever, and I hope to tour with Jonathan again.
Geoffrey was such a joy to be with. We deeply appreciate his in-depth knowledge and experience of the Normandy invasion and we especially treasured his passion for the topic. He has incredible command of the area, the details and the history! He is also incredibly accommodating to our interests, very thoughtful and extremely kind. He is part of a very memorable day for us!
