Don’t just take our word for it
Our guide, Simona, did an awesome job of curating the huge number of artworks at the Borghese for us so that we could see and hear about the highlighted pieces in the space of a 2.5 hour tour. For example, learning about the Bernini sculptures in the Borghese opened our eyes to notice details about the Fountain of the Four Rivers public sculpture on the Piazza Navona during a walk the next day. Seeing the Caravaggio paintings at the Borghese helped us to recognize his genius, as well. Simona is exceedinigly knowledgable about the artworks at the Borghese and we appreciated the opportunity to learn from her.
The Sculptures were especially excellent. The leader for this session with a Contex guides was particularly good concerning the Sculptural pcs in the Gallery collection. She was very thorough in her explanation of each piece. The overall tour was very enjoyable.
