A licensed guide since 2009, Francesco has called Barcelona home for over 20 years. He enjoys exploring Catalonia’s history and cultural identity, from medieval Barcelona to the Spanish Civil War and Francoism. His degrees in East Asian Studies and Political Science, together with years living and working across Asia and the Middle East, give him an international perspective on Barcelona’s history. A street or monument can spark a conversation about history, politics, or culture, while guest’s questions help shape each tour. He speaks five languages, including Mandarin, and studies Japanese. Music is a lifelong creative pursuit: harmony, composition, and improvisation.
