Edwige is an art historian and professional guide in Paris. She originally comes from Alsace in eastern France, but has lived Paris for 12 years, so can happily call herself a Parisian. She specializes in the history of decorative arts from the XIXth century to today. She loves the idea of developing connections and contradictions between art and industry, luxury and every day objects. She also likes to explore the stories that different artistic techniques can tell us about art history, and has a special way of observing pieces of art through their materials. When she's not guiding, you can find her watching Indian, American and French musicals or old Hollywood films. Her favorite director is Billy Wilder and she thinks that how he filmed Paris in Love in the Afternoon is absolutely fantastic!
