We were happy to see Ebru again for our architectural tour which included the beautiful CAMii mosque, I believe. We then walked through a narrow and busy market to another mosque with beautiful tiles throughout. Ebru chose a restaurant for lunch which had a great view of the water and all of the ferries going back and forth. The food was delicious and the view was even better. We then travel by ferry to the Asia side with a long walk along the Bosporus with the mansions hidden behind high walls. Ebru gave us great directions to get to our hotel - how to ride the small bus to the ferry port, how to find the right ferry and then how to catch the tram to our hotel. We were quite proud how we maneuvered through the city on public transportation as we watched the jammed traffic on the streets.

Ebru showed us a side of Istanbul that we had not seen starting with a fascinating tour of the Chora Church and ending at the, I believe, the Romanian orthodoxy church made out of cast iron. In between we had an interesting walk through an old residential area, a visit to an old orthodoxy church, a great lunch at a Greek restaurant followed by walking tour though an older part of Istanbul that was being gentrified. The tour showed us the cultural complexity of Istanbul
