Our day with Gioconda was amazing! As a professor of archeology she is a true expert. The visit to Pompeii was fascinating. The cherry on the top was the visit to the museum in Naples in the afternoon to look at all of the artifacts that came from Pompeii (and Herculaneum). It really gave a whole different view of the people who lived there. Highly recommend the full day. It's long but well worth it. The pizza lunch--yum! And if that wasn't enough she even walked us back to the train station at the end of the day giving us a mini tour of the heart of Naples. She is a true gem!
