"Exemplary tour and company support"

"We loved Francois! Everything about working with Context and their guides so far has been exemplary. Thank you! Up next, Normandy!!"

Lisa O.

"Brings enthusiasm to every piece"

"Marie took us on the most insightful, whirlwind tour of the Louvre that we could have imagined. Her knowledge base is extraordinary and she brings enthusiasm to every piece that she described. My only regret is that we did not book more time with her."

Kathleen C.

"Not just tourists being rushed"

"We truly felt like being on a personally guided art tour, not just tourists being rushed from one end of the Louvre to the other. "

Alexandra K.

Tour Description
Over the course of your three-hour visit, you’ll learn how the museum transformed over five centuries from an immense medieval fortress to a magnificent royal palace, to the museum we know today.

Each expert-guide has their own preferred route to touch upon the most important works on display. You may start your visit by heading to the Classical Antiquities wing, known for its stunning collection of Egyptian artifacts and awe-inspiring Greek and Roman sculptures. You will touch upon the Denon Wing, the grand galleries of Italian painting, and be treated to some of the greatest works of art in the Western world, including masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Veronese.

You will also spend some time with the French Masters, learning about the late 18th- and early 19th-century rival art movements of Neoclassicism, led by Jacques-Louis David, and Romanticism, spearheaded by Théodore Gericault and Eugène Delacroix. And of course, what visit to the Louvre would be complete without saying hello to the Mona Lisa and discussing the mysteries behind her smile?

Your guide will curate your visit, selecting a mixture of famous and lesser-known works and crafting a narrative around your interests and questions. You’ll discuss anything from perspective in the late medieval era, to the Baroque period, to issues of powers and politics as expressed by court painters, and more.

LC was awesome! Extensive knowledge and background - knows her way around the Louvre like a pro! We did not have much time so she gave us a speed tour - great for our 3 teenage boys! We’d love to come back and get an all day tour with LC!!! Highest recommendation from our family!!!!
Caroline was fantastic! The Louvre is just so big, and it was great to have someone so knowledgeable lead us through the highlights. She even kept my teen and the other teen in our group engaged throughout the tour. I’d recommend her to others in a heartbeat.
Nadia was wonderful. She did an excellent job guiding us and answering all of our questions. We would highly recommend her!
