Roberto’s passion, understanding and knowledge of Mt Etna was wonderful, full of insight, and a synthesis of the many dimensions of Etna including history, economics, biology, myth and more, and included comparisons to other volcanoes, present and past. His enthusiasm and the variety of experiences he provided us will remain with us for a long time to come and opened within us a strong curiosity.
